Dollar Sinks to 11-month Low, Gold Spikes

Gold soared Thursday morning, rising $14.00 to $1,363 per ounce, as the U.S. Dollar Index (DXY) traded down to an 11-month low. Commodities rallied as well with oil pushing up toward $86 per barrel and copper jumping 2% to $3.86 per pound.

Samsung Korea to start pushing Galaxy S Android 2.2 update next week

Samsung announced that it will start rolling out Android 2.2 aka Froyo update to Galaxy S smartphone next week. The announcement came at the launch ceremony of Samsung Galaxy Tab in Korea, which will start selling with SK Telecom shortly.
